The Memos project is an attempt to analyze Italo Calvino’s 5 published Memos (the sixth was never written due to his untimely departure from this world) and in essence mimic his ability to create a visualizable emblem as well as a creating an analogy from the memo. This concretion and abstraction of his memos should show that the memos are just as real for life and sciences as they are for literature. The final step then was to show that, while true for more than just literature, the nascent form of literature (New Media, E-Lit etc.) can similarly identify with Calvino’s Memos and thus are confirmed in the canon of literature.
